Heart Flower

There is a blog post that is meant to be posted before this one but I was so excited about the out come of this ring that I had to post it. This is a ring that is made for the organic chapter. Those are wire hearts that are soldered and bent to look organic. What do you think?

Blue star

My bangle is beaded and complete, I wanted to make sure that its done in time for jewellex. I must say that I'm a bit scared at show casing my work at what I think is a commercial gathering. I think that the People or jewellery shop owners that are going to be don't really look at beaded jewellery. Watch this space to see what really happens at jewellex. I like the fact that not all the stars are bead and that allows the eye to focus on the beaded one.

Star bangle

I've made a lot of jewellery pieces but I don't think I've made a bangle before and with the stars that I was playing around with, I decided to solder them together and make a bangle. Now this is not complete because I haven't added colour.

Display number two

As we put some of our jewellery at the KZNSA gallery, the catch or the whole idea was for us to change our jewellery every two weeks. I think two weeks have almost past and that is why I changed it. There where a few touch ups that had to be done about the last displays and I am working on them slowly. The one thing that's left to fix is my splash A5, it could do with some fixing up. I'm glad that I sold some earrings and hopefully something will sell this time around.

Star black

I have been cleaning my till slips box and I found my first business card and the name of my jewellery or brand was called Star Black, which meant 100% black, as in family and colour. Looking at the shapes that I had made earlier this year I got some design ideas that were dealing with the new way that I have been beading shapes into shapes, therefor creating negative and positive space.

Bead break

With the beaded bead giving me a hard time, I decided to take a break from it. A friend made these earrings and asked me to add a twist or my signature to them and I thought what best way to do it then to add colour or beads to them. I'm sticking to the opaque colours because they work for this piece. What do you think?

Try again

I tried working out how may beads am I meant to pick up at a time and the drawing was the plan for the next bead. I say next bead because I tried making another one and as you can see it not looking tapered.

Bead drawing

I must say that I'm not happy with the way that these beads are coming out. This drawing is meant to remind me and show you what is it that I'm trying to make. I really am stuck and have tried my best to make it look like the drawing.

Not as planned

Well I've finished beading what was meant to be a big bead.
