Not that flexy

This is the clear string or thread that I have been using and the beading in the ring is not as flexable an i would like it to be.

Mad face

This is what I have so far and being lazy by not cutting my plate first wasn't a wise decision.

Madness

Lately I haven't been like myself, nothing seemed positive at home, tech and even at church where my peace, joy and rest is meant to be. I found these stickers that I think best describes how I totally feel inside, (a big roller coaster) that has no controller nor a stop button. I'm a bit thankful that I hardly show it. I decided to try and channel all these crazy feelings and emotions into my jewellery. I don't know what these are meant to be but i know something will come up.

Good luck ladybug

I don't know it I should blog about this pendent from the beginning or to just post what I think is important. Seeing as I'm trying new things and different angels, I will star from the beginning.
I joint a group 'Gods fan' group on facebook and the people that were online kept mentioning a book called THE SHACK. The Shack is a book by W M. Paul Young 2009 "In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant THE SHACK wrestles with timeless questions :Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain? The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book!" The author was right, the people that read it wanted us, as group members to read it as well. I'm not a person that likes or loves reading and I'm suffering the consequences of that. I read about how it was changing people's lives and felt compiled to read it.
In the book a cirial killer uses the spot on a ladybug's back to indicate the number of young girls he has killed. I was shocked to see how Pual used something so sweet and innocent looking to mark or symbolise pain and distruction. I wanted to make something positive and funky with that ladybug. That is why I chose a clover which is concidered as a good luck charm exspecialy if it's a four leaved one.

Rope/string

White rope/string
In first year we were show a white type of rope or string that we could bead with but in isiZulu we call it 'intambo yalayini'. I worked with this rope or string because it was recommended by the HOD and it worked best at that time. I had one problem though and that was the way the rope stood out against the silver and I realised that with time, it wore out and broke, making the beadwork or jewellery not look professional.

Black rope/String
When I went to the shop again I found out that they had a black type of string. This did not look bad against silver or within the beads. It was almost perfect, the one problem that this black string has is the fact that it is thinner then then the white one, making it easier to break.
Clear rope/String
I'm currently using a clear string that is called ( ). As this is a clear string the silver stands out and the beading looks neater. It's not easy to burn or thread throw the needle as it is thicker then the other two. The fact that it is thicker has its ups and downs because the stitch that I use reques the baedwork to be flexible and the thickness doesnt allow flexablity. I will not write it off as yet bcause i have just started using it and hopefully, this is the one.

Cape plant

During the december holidays I went to Cape town, I found this plant on one of the beaches that we went to. There is something about is colour, shape, size and where it was growing that attracted me to it. What do you think about it?

What can I do?

These beads have been around on almost everyone's wrist or necks. They got me thinking, as a jewellery design student, how can I put or join them together? What can i do that is different?

I wrote a letter to my love and on the way I droped it, the little boy who picked it up, just put it in his pocket, it wasnt me. But was it YOU?
