Lemon
Someone saw the invitation that I made for our thanksgiving and they wanted me to incorporate their colour scheme, lemon, silver and white.
Programs to match
This customer wanted really simple wedding programs and I'm not complaining. Their wish is my command.

Dusty pink
Sometimes a customer comes with a colour scheme that I'm not familiar with but that doesn't mean I have to decline the order. This invite has tested my patience with the layout but I'm proud of the way they turned out.
Not all as planned
I had a new challenge to do invitations for a customer that had seen one of my invites. The colour scheme and the layout was set but they didn't come out as I planned. Comes to show that not all works out as planned.

Different
This is something different, bright and from the heart, I don't think I'm over bright colours or beads.
Thanksgiving & Graduation
I miss being creative and making invites keeps me going. These are for a guys Thanksgiving and Graduation celebration invites, he didn't want something bright or feminine, he was very simple and to the point.
Finally here
Book is here but I'm too crushed to even to go through all 500 beaded jewellery. I don't know if I'm over exaggerating about being crushed but I think that's all I can say, for now.
Something done invites
This is how the invites turned out with a very limited budget. I hope next time she can give me a project to start from scratch.

Do something
This was a bit of a challenge, my friend gave me these as her wedding invite. She asked me to do something to them, add something as they looked too plain.

Busy Bee
I guess I'm just making jewellery for the fun of it because at the moment I don't know where it could sell.

Today
When I was sorting out my beads, I found the silver wire shapes that I had made in order to work during the holidays and I was discouraged to use wire because it was said to be thin but lately I've been looking at jewellery that is being manufactured. Some jewellers are not afraid to make a small silver pendant and use string for the chain and yet these sell.
So I started beading today after a year and I must say I enjoyed it, and I found that it still relaxes me.
I want to finish beading the rest of the shapes and then find a place to sell them. (Holding thumbs)

Table\ Bench
Its been a while since I blogged about anything, invites or jewellery. In the past few months I've been buying tools to make my life as manufacture easier but funny enough it has taken me over a year to touch beads.
This is my table at home and I'm hoping to explore and experiment.

Phenomenal Engagement, Chris and Marlene de Beer - Tues 26 July 6pm
I went to an exhibition a few days ago, it was great to see my lectures exhibiting some of their work. Its funny how when your are making jewellery or props to be used at an exhibition its feels like everyone is trying to make things hard for you but when u see the end result and you look at peoples faces and they enjoy or are confused about your item of jewellery, you see that it was worth it. I never thought I would say this boldly but I really enjoy jewellery exhibitions because you get the chance to show off your work.
I like how they (Chris and Marlene) worked together into coming up with something that worked, I looked at the theme of the exhibition as a pun and a play of words of how they are.
I think I want to have an exhibition of my own work, I really enjoy making neck pieces and that's what my exhibition should be about, these once off big pieces that could be appreciated by the buyer to have and others to admire. I have no clue how to start or where but I think I should take it a piece at time. What do you think? Would you as a viewer or a reader come to my exhibition?
